Children’s Outreach Project is a not-for-profit organization. Program support consists of foundation and corporate grants, private donations and tuition fees. Fundraisers finance the remaining operational costs. Parents and guardians of children enrolled at C.O.P. are required to participate in a minimum of two fundraising events during the year.
Our Board of Trustees oversees our financial management and ensures that resources are being utilized in ways that best fulfill the mission of Children’s Outreach Project. The organization undergoes an external audit and publishes an annual report each year. Children’s Outreach Project estimates that 11% of its revenue is used for administrative overhead and fundraising. You may request copies of these documents by calling: 303-429-0653.
Individual donations are an essential part of our annual budget, and even small contributions help enormously. C.O.P. accepts cash, check and in-kind donations of books, play equipment, appliances and much more. This agency also qualifies for the Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit. Donations to C.O.P. receive a Colorado tax credit in addition to the normal deduction that can be taken for charitable contributions. Please see below for more details.
